Discover ! Wonder ! Imagine ! Explore
We deliver unique, hands-on science experiences to children.
Our programs are divided into 6 main categories:
When school is out, Mad Science is in!
Join Mad Science for camp during Spring Break!
Blue Valley Recreation (South Overland Park, KS)
Learn about the history of robot design as well as how robots sense, decide, and carry out tasks. Program a robot to do a series of maneuvers and participate in robot relays. Finally, build a robot throughout the week and take it home on the final day!
The Wright Stuff
JCPRD-New Century Field House (Gardner, KS)
From the earliest flying machines to the first rocket flights, this hands-on program will allow students to build many different flying devices, see how Newton's Laws of Motion help explain how things move and how even how rockets fly.
From our Earth's atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on camp for students ages 7-12 years sends them on a quest for exploration! Comets, planets, stars, and more are all waiting to be discovered. Learn about the four forces of flight, the challenges of space travel, and participate in a rocket launch!
Secret Agent Lab
Maple Woods Community College (Kansas City North)
Step into the shoes or a detective--uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis. Become a super sleuth and learn clever ways of performing tasks in this hands-on view of the science that spies use. From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, students will have the opportunity to check out spy equipment and discover the technological tools of detection!
Eureka! The Inventors Camp
Shawnee Civic Center (Shawnee, KS)
Creative Contraption Warning! This is a camp designed by you--the inventor! Each day, students will be given a series of challenges which must be overcome using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors, and the most important thing of all--your mind. With a little bit of ingenuity, you'll construct catapults and forts and then lay siege; fabricate a winning Egg Drop design; construct a dancing robot; assemble a working light saber to take home. While Thomas Edison said "Invention is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration," this camp is bound to be 100% FUN!
