FAQ
When do I pay?
We require a $75 deposit to book your party, refundable up to 72 hours before the party. After the party, your Mad Scientist will provide an invoice adjusted for the actual guests, Goody Bags, and the remaining balance. You can pay by check, credit card, or authorize us to charge the credit card we have on file.
+Once I have scheduled my party, can I make changes to it later?
You can make changes to your party date and time up to 24 hours before the party. If you cancel less than 3 days in advance your deposit is not refundable.
+Do I need to know the exact number of kids attending my party to book it?
No. All we need is an estimate of the number of children you expect to attend. We ask that you plan for the largest number of children expected. We will follow up approximately one week prior to your party to get a better idea on how RSVPs are going. On the day of the party, you will be charged only for the number of kids that actually attend
+How far in advance do I need to book my party?
Our party schedule fills up quickly. We suggest you book well in advance to get the date and time you want. Generally, at least 3 weeks in advance is recommended, but if we have availability we can reserve your date at least 3 days out.
+What time can I have my party?
On Saturdays and Sundays we have set party times of 10:30 am, 1:30 pm, 4:30 pm or later. Parties can also be scheduled Monday-Friday at almost any time. All dates and times are subject to availability. If the party is going to be held at your house, times are more flexible.
+Do I need to provide anything?
We need a 4' or 6' table so the Mad Scientist can setup the equipment. We will also need access to water for set-up and clean-up and access to electricity. The room should be able to be darkened. Please let us know if your party location does not have any of these.
+When will the Mad Scientist arrive?
The Mad Scientist will arrive at least 15 minutes early to set up and ready to start the show at the time you booked. It is best to ask guests to arrive at least 15 minutes before your Mad Science show is scheduled to start to ensure all have arrived before the presentation begins.
+Is it okay to have other activities going on while the Mad Scientist is performing?
We do ask that TVs and loud conversations be limited during the presentation. The Mad Scientist will begin at the scheduled start time and continue until our portion of the entertainment is finished. We will not be able to stop for any other activities (ex. food or cake). Please plan accordingly.
+
